23 Adorable Photos Taken by the Mom Who Adopted An Adorable Down Syndrome Child

Katya is my full name. Our beautiful daughter Lisa, who has Down syndrome, lives with us in Moscow with my husband. We took her in as a pet a few years ago. We adore her because she is so kind and adorable.

As a creative person, I enjoy designing and sewing costumes for my baby. You’ll see a lot of my work on display here. In my work as a photographer, I enjoy creating photo stories that highlight how cute and loving children with Down syndrome can be.

It’s Katya’s friend Polina who wrote this blog entry.

A few of the questions I left for Lisa’s mother, Katya, have been answered by her. Since she’s a good photographer, I wanted to know what kind of photography style she prefers the most. As a photographer, I enjoy photographing people and animals in their natural habitats. They experience emotions as a result of their vibrant existence.

Because raising a child is a difficult task, I think it’s also difficult to photograph children because they’re so active and involved in their own worlds at all times. I asked Katya if photographing Lisa was difficult.

“To accompany her. She’s got a lot of speed! The photoshoot is a game for her, so we don’t try to make her do anything she doesn’t want to. When I’m in the mood, I’ll shoot a random photo and post it on Instagram. “

People’s reactions to photos Katya shares of Lisa on social media tend to be varied, and this is what she told me when I asked her about it: “Many people believe that children with Down syndrome are unsightly and unable to express their feelings.” They’ve never seen anything like it before. They come to understand that children with special needs are just like any other. They know how to have fun, be happy, be sad, and love just as any other child would. “

Obviously, Katya’s adoption story and Lisa’s stunning photographs are heartwarming. I wanted to find out what Katya wanted people to remember about this story.

“I’d want to stress one thing: all people are attractive, regardless of their disorders and physical traits.”

I questioned Lisa’s mother to start an Instagram account to find out what prompted her.

Poor treatment of my daughter by strangers on the street. For me, I wanted to make a difference and show that children with special needs are just as wonderful as other children.

Katya’s answer to the question, “What drives you to be a photographer?” It may be simple, but I wanted to know more about her motivations.

“My inspiration comes from my daughter. At the very least, I’d like to turn her into the heroine of a fairy tale in this photograph. Through images, we may transform the way society views people with impairments.”
