In what ways has the world been unfair to you lately as you flipped through your Instagram feed? Self-esteem issues are well-documented when it comes to Instagram, but it’s easy to lose sight of the fact that none of this is real. Every day, influencers spend up to 40 hours prepping and retouching their images until they have something to show their fans.
But one Thai model isn’t afraid to show that there’s a whole other reality behind every Insta-perfect picture. Vienadoll’s 178k Instagram followers can’t get enough of her hilarious “Instagram vs. Reality” collages (see Bored Panda’s previous article).
As it turns out, Vienna uses software that enhances her eyes, nose, and mouth with a touch-up. On the other hand, the photos of reality were taken with a primary camera and edited afterward. Well, you have to see it to believe it, but the “perfection” illusion is going to burst like a balloon.

Vienna, a Thai fashion model and social media influencer, was contacted by Bored Panda and said that her Instagram vs. Reality photo series had definitely helped her gain a lot of media attention. “I got more work and was invited to appear on television about my Instagram vs. reality post on Twitter,” she said.
Vienna started modeling when she got noticed by an agent from a modeling agency. She took a photo with one girl who posted it on social media. Immediately, the girl’s agent contacted Vienna and invited her to try her hand at modeling.
At the time she was scouted, Vienna had only 10,000 followers on Twitter, but her following grew rapidly over time. The Thai influencer told us that the number of people who follow her on Twitter and Instagram has grown to 781.4k and 178k, respectively.
According to her response when asked if her audience is still growing, she did say “not as much as it used to.” It’s possible that Vienna is posting fewer Instagram vs. reality photos these days because she’s focusing more on her YouTube channel and Instagram.
