Trevor Pottelberg is a Canadian photographer who lives in Brownsville, Ontario, and teaches photography at Fanshawe College. Recently, he captured the explosive eruptions that occur on the surface of Lake Erie during the fall and winter when storms drive roiling waves across the lake. He braves winds of up to 60 miles per hour to capture these images of massive waves bursting forth and leaving sprays of cold mist and ripples behind. The huge waves are full of life and power, showing how powerful nature can be.

Beginning in December, a number of his landscape and animal photos will be on display at the Elm Hurst Inn & Spa in Ingersoll. On his website, you can buy prints and see more of his work, some of which was recently recognized in the Professional Photographers of Canada Ontario Provincial Competition.
