Some couples hire llamas to entertain their guests and create memorable moments at their weddings.. Others, well, have a brother with a brilliant sense of humor who decides your wedding is the perfect opportunity to meet a llama in a tuxedo.

Mendl Weinstock’s brilliant idea didn’t just appear out of nowhere. It turns out that the man actually promised his sister Riva that he would do it exactly 5 years before the wedding. Even though they both took it as a joke all those years ago, when the opportunity really came, Mendl decided to take it a step further and surprise his sister in the best way possible.

The man shared a photo of himself, his sister, and the elegant tuxedo blade on Reddit, where it quickly went viral. It garnered 156,000 likes in just 2 days and 3,600 people left various comments, mostly praising Mendl for this brilliant idea. In the same post, Weinstock also revealed that it cost him $450 to bring his idea to life.

Weinstock explained the situation in an interview with Insider after the photo went viral. “My sister talked about her wedding like it was tomorrow when she wasn’t dating anyone at the time. Just to piss her off and get a reaction, I told her that if she took me to the wedding, I would bring a llama with me. ” After a few minutes of conversation, she tried to use reverse psychology on me and said, “undefined.”

In the same interview, the bride, Riva, revealed that her brother had long been quite adamant about the idea: “He tortured me with it, for fun, and he probably reminded me twice a week during the last five years. I had to do so many deals. I tried to do literally everything I could to make sure that didn’t happen, and lo and behold, there was a llama at my wedding.

He even mentioned how he would take it on some occasions. If you realize something, I called him to tell him I was engaged, and his response was, “Great, I’m calling the llama farm now. “Probably not even an hour later, I got a message that his blade rental had been confirmed,” Riva explained.

When the bride saw the llama outside, her first reaction was to tell her brother, “I hate you so much,” although she later revealed that she wasn’t really upset and wouldn’t change the good time she was having. Mendl even wrote in response to some people who thought this would ruin the newlyweds’ day, “Even though many Reddit users told me I ‘ruined’ their big day, they still had a blast and told me 100 times that I wouldn’t have screwed it up, but I screwed up 10 times more memorable.”
