I Frequently Overhear People Saying Amusing Things, So I Began Drawing Them.

Avner Geller, a Dreamworks Animation artist and illustrator, has a hilarious illustration series titled “ThingsThatiHear” that he draws for his profession.

“ThingsThatiHear” came to him while shopping in a cookware store in Los Angeles, he claims. “He wants to go to Bali,” a young woman who was staring at her phone with a big sigh said to her buddy. Rather, I propose that we go to Fiji! ” I couldn’t help but chuckle. The ridiculousness of this “first-world problem” was too much for me to bear. These pictures were born from real-life conversations that he picked up on from that point forth.

The main characters in ” ThingsThatiHear” are people we’ve all met: they’re the coworkers who complain about their jobs all day. Our internet date with them is the one we’re desperately trying to forget. They’re the Facebook stalkers we don’t even know we have. When we believe no one is listening, they are the United States. I’m motivated to write a book on the things I hear because of the overwhelming support I’ve received on social media.
