Have you ever thought about what would happen if people had babies like giraffes? No? Seahorses are a good idea. Still no? Well, artist Paul Westover has, and he’s made drawings to show it.
As you can see from these funny pictures about college humour, women still feel a lot of pain during childbirth, but it’s nothing compared to what other animals go through. For example, the Surinam toad carries its eggs on its back, where they become attached to its skin. When the tadpoles are ready to hatch, they just pop out of their mother like something out of a scary movie. How about the frilled shark? It might be hard to carry an unborn human baby around for nine months, but try carrying your baby around inside you for three and a half years! Look at the pictures below to see for yourself. They’ll make you glad you’re a person.
