Photography, like sports photography, lets us record moments that can’t be done with any other art form. So, we’d like to show you some of the best sports pictures from this year.
The winners of the World Sports Photography Awards have been chosen out of 700 entries. There were a total of 24 categories, including basketball, racing, urban, and extreme. Gold, silver, or bronze gifts were given to each category’s winner.
Also, there were three outstanding photographers who won gold in their area and were named overall winners. Patrick Smith’s picture of a golfer in the clouds, which was the total winner, got him the gold medal. Octávio Passos is the silver winner, and Phil Noble is the bronze winner.
