As we get older, many people find it difficult to face the inevitable. The quest for perpetual youth is a fruitless and frequently pitiful one. And a whole business has sprung up to support this conflict, ranging from plastic surgery to hair dye. Men in their 40s and 50s can now take advantage of medicine that promises to reverse the effects of aging, including hair loss and wrinkles. This is not the place for graceful and natural aging!
The media, naturally, provides a lot of air time to the young sellers because the topic is always viral. Basically, it explains why we feel such angst when we realize that we’re not quite as young as we used to be. We have a pessimistic perspective of the elderly. However, what if we could travel back in time and see what we’d look like in 40 years’ time? Is it possible that aging isn’t all bad?
