So many individuals are working out in order to get ‘beach ready’ and get the ultimate ‘bikini figure’ now that summer is just around the corner. There’s no question that getting active is a healthy habit, but are these summertime fitness goals actually the healthiest ones to have?
No matter what your size or shape, these women are here to show us that if you’re wearing a bikini, everybody is a bikini body. Here’s what Cococurve, a.k.a. Chelsea Duarte, had to say. Bikini bodies are a common aspiration for women, but they come in all shapes and sizes, she explained to Bored Panda. “Women are really comfortable being all different shapes and sizes.” The first thing most women think of while attempting to get in shape for the summer is their ideal magazine-perfect physique, but that’s not desirable or realistic for many women. Even though I have a large, plus-sized physique, I feel confident in a bikini because of my own self-esteem.
As a child, I’m sure every girl has body image difficulties, but I’ve always assured myself that I would never hate myself. Regardless of what situation my body is in, I always love and appreciate it. No, I don’t detest my body, and I don’t give negativity a second thought. On social media, I’m not a fan of the latest beauty trends. In the end, it’s up to me whether I want to or not. When young girls see me, they won’t strive to be my size, but they may learn to embrace and cherish their own beauty sooner if they witness someone like me doing it. “
A wide range of plus-size clothes is now available, and plus-size models promote body positivity by encouraging women to accept their curves. For Chelsea, the ability to choose and express herself creatively is a source of inspiration. She has learned to cherish her body over the years and treats it as if it were a flower sprouting from a root. We were informed that in order for something to blossom into something truly unique, it must be nurtured, left to its own devices, and given time to do so. That which produces more hatred is self-hatred.”Is it important what your physique looks like or how much weight you put on the ground? “You are who you are because of your heart.”
Chelsea and these other powerful women will show you that simply wearing a bikini is not an act of bravery and that skin conditions, stretch marks, and cellulite are all part of the human condition. They will also show you that no one should feel obligated to hide their appearance for the sake of others. This summer, bring a positive attitude and a sense of adventure to the beach!
