We recently brought you two unusual emerging art venues that have quickly grabbed everyone’s attention. You did it right! The first is definitely a rickety cafe in Seoul with comic strips inside called Cafe Yeonnamdong 23920, which is actually the cafe’s address. Located in the famous Yeonnamdong district, the coffee shop opened in July 2017 and immediately became world-famous.
As for the other, well…It’s a bit romantic! It’s a pop-up chapel at the Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas. The Till Death Do Us Part Chapel is perfect for impromptu weddings, vow renewals, photoshoots, and especially comic couples! But if these two places weren’t enough for you, this time we present a new pop-up cafe in the heart of Tokyo, Japan.

The new pop-up espresso business, “2D Cafe,” is located in the Shin Okubo district. From the retro-stimulated entryway to the well-adorned monochrome layout with white floors, walls, furniture, and different little elements, the whole thing approximately makes you feel like you are in a comic book. As a result, while you order the latest bubble tea (which you may now get in every nook of Japan) or a tasty dessert, the entirety seems unreal and vivid, fooling your eyes into wondering if it is genuine.

The furniture is two-toned rather than monotone, which is a fun tidbit. The margins of all flat surfaces are soft, irregular black stripes, similar to drawing lines. However, there is no deceit in some situations. Curtains and flowers, for example, are flat-plane artwork.

Colors appear to pop more when it comes to food and drinks. The cafe serves a variety of bubble tea tastes, including pineapple, blueberry, tomato, and mango, as well as patbingsu Korean-style, shaved ice desserts in seven distinct flavors, including strawberry, and banana azuki, and others. As a result, visitors are invited to not only admire the unique interior design but also to sample some delectable new sensations.

Everyone is aware of the Japanese obsession with comic books and other animated media that transport you to another world. As a result, given this fact, this cafe should be one of Tokyo’s most popular, as it transforms the real, three-dimensional world we live in into a flat artwork from a comic book. Let’s face it, we’d all like to go to this two-dimensional universe!
