In 2005, an auto repair business in Seattle, Washington, was turned into ExtraMile, a petrol station, and convenience store. It had always been “simple to conceive of relevant phrases to put on the sign for things like service promotions and store deals and the like,” according to the new owners, but they wanted to do something different with it.

So they began using it to exchange great jokes, and everyone liked it! The sign ultimately gained the name-the Wallingford Sign-and now has over 50k social media followers who eagerly await the latest weekly joke.
