Have you ever wished you could travel back in time? like the 1980s or the 1970s, for example. Does the past influence your sense of style or musical taste in any way? Rose Van Rijn is clearly influenced by the 1970s.
Five years ago, Rose listened to an ABBA CD and decided she was going to change her look altogether. She shaved her head, acquired new clothing, and now appears to have stepped through a time portal to the year 2021. Her TikTok became a popular platform for her to share her films, many of which quickly became viral. She’s been likened to Princess Diana by a lot of people. In fact, Rose even provided a step-by-step explanation of how to achieve her appearance. Rose doesn’t care about following the latest fashion trends. Instead, she wears clothes that show who she is.
Her story begins five years ago when she discovered an old ABBA CD. Because of them, I became enamored with the Bee Gees and Olivia Newton-John, two more bands from the 1970s. My goal was to appear like them every day after seeing how they dressed and styled their hair, and I achieved it.
With two videos already up on her channel: a ’70s-inspired hair tutorial (in case the TikToks were too brief or lacking in information), and the unpacking of ABBA’s colored vinyl, Rose has established a following on YouTube.
